BECOME A REFEREE:
Want to earn extra money and pick your own schedule? Being a referee can be challenging but also rewarding and a great source of additional income. Anyone above the age of 13 can become a referee. First-time Referees
In order to certify as a First Time Grassroots Referee, you must be 13 years or older.
The following requirements, which can be found on the US Soccer Learning Center (linked here), must be completed.
- U.S. Soccer Federation Gold Standard NCSI Background Check (if 18 years or older)
- SafeSport (if 18 years or older)
- Online Grassroots Referee Course Module
- First Time Grassroots Referee Quiz
- Attend an in-person session hosted by the State Referee Committee. See dates/times for in-person sessions below.
You MUST complete ALL online requirements ONE WEEK prior to your in-person course to receive a badge at the in-person course.
